The Assistant Practice Manager is a key leadership position within the practice. You’ll work closely with the Practice Manager to support daily operations, develop the team, and help drive a consistently excellent patient experience. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both people leadership and operational excellence, and has experience as a treatment coordinator, front desk lead, or a dental office manager, and is ready to grow into a larger leadership position.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of dental experience required (front office or leadership preferred)
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Clear, confident communicator
  • Ability to lead with both accountability and empathy
  • Comfortable working with goals, systems, and performance metrics
  • Interest in long-term growth and leadership development
  • Excellent critical reasoning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills to analyze situation, determine risks, and find solutions to prevent future issues and resolve recurring defects

Responsibilities

  • Support the flow of the office to ensure an efficient, organized day
  • Help lead morning huddles and keep the team aligned
  • Address challenges in real time with a calm, solutions-focused approach
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members
  • Reinforce expectations, systems, and office culture
  • Provide coaching and accountability in a constructive, professional way
  • Ensure each patient interaction reflects a high level of care and attention
  • Assist with resolving concerns in a thoughtful and timely manner
  • Support treatment acceptance through clear communication
  • Assist in tracking and improving key practice metrics
  • Support schedule optimization and daily production goals
  • Help maintain strong systems around follow-up and case completion
