About The Position

Farmington Country Club is preparing for an exciting Spring and Summer season and is seeking an Assistant Pool Manager to join our Aquatics team. This role works closely with the Pool Manager to oversee the daily operations of the Club’s swimming facilities, including—but not limited to—safety, cleanliness, and overall facility appearance. The Assistant Pool Manager plays a key role in overseeing daily pool operations, ensuring compliance with all safety standards and member service expectations. This role upholds and models Club values while fostering a positive, inclusive, and safe environment for members and staff.

Requirements

  • Flexible scheduling availability, including mornings, evenings, and major holidays throughout the summer season.
  • Strong professional communication and organizational skills, with an emphasis on attention to detail.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience at a comparable aquatic or pool facility.
  • Ability to commit to assisting with home swim meets when needed.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • American Red Cross or equivalent Lifeguard training or higher (preferred, onsite training if needed).
  • American Red Cross or equivalent CPR for the Professional Rescuer.
  • American Red Cross or equivalent AED/First Aid training.

  • Scheduling flexibility through August and early September is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with oversight and management of day-to-day operations of the Club’s swimming facilities.
  • Support Pool Manager by formulating weekly work schedules and entering schedules into paycom.
  • Monitor payroll information, such as time and attendance of aquatics staff.
  • Conduct periodic safety training for both lifeguard and coaching staff to ensure implementation of Farmington’s standard for pool safety.
  • Ensure enforcement of all safety protocols, club policies, and procedures by both staff and Farmington Country Club members during daily pool operations.
  • Oversee and assist in completion of daily and weekly cleaning schedules to ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained aquatics facility, including the pools, pool deck, pool locker rooms, and office spaces.
  • Assist lifeguard staff during operating hours by addressing safety concerns promptly and constructively while fostering positive team dynamics. Staff should feel motivated, supported, and accountable daily.
  • Ensure pools and safety equipment are in proper working condition throughout the day, communicating adjustments needed to the Pool Manager and Aquatics Coordinator when necessary.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all emergency action plans and demonstrate the ability to respond effectively during emergency situations.
  • Aid in planning and execution of specialized aquatics programming, including swim meets, major holidays, and special events.
  • Represent Farmington Country Club in a professional capacity both in and out of the water by adhering to all club policies and procedures.
  • Communicate and engage with members and guests in a manner that reflects a high standard of excellence and overall member satisfaction, while upholding FCC’s commitment to a welcoming and inclusive environment for all members.
  • Ensure timely communication of upcoming and current programs to members.
