About The Position

As the Pool Assistant Manager, you will contribute to shaping the guest experience through warm hospitality and attentive service, actively participating in overseeing various aspects of the pool operations. Working closely with a dedicated team, your role is integral in ensuring exceptional service, maintaining a vibrant atmosphere, and supporting the overall success of our resort. You will be instrumental in upholding the highest standards of service and guest satisfaction, guiding the pool operations team to create a safe, inviting, and memorable environment. Your responsibilities also include providing leadership to achieve operational and financial goals, managing labor and financial performance, and enhancing the overall Team Member experience in overseeing pool decks and food and beverage services.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 years of progressive pool operations experience.
  • Minimum 1 years of food and beverage experience.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends and holidays as business demands.
  • Organizational skills, solution-driven, analytical thinker.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills which include being able to comfortably sell new ideas/strategies at all levels of the organization.
  • Proactive with an attention to details.
  • Able to set priorities, work schedules, and meet department deadlines.
  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • At least 21 years of age.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading large teams, both in a bargaining and non-bargaining environment.
  • Technical knowledge of Food and Beverage management systems (InfoGenesis, Kronos, Stratton Warren, Workday and SevenRooms), technical knowledge of data analytics systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Pool General Manager in overseeing daily pool operations, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and ambiance.
  • Collaborate with various departments to address maintenance needs promptly.
  • Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising a diverse team, including lifeguards, bartenders, servers, and support staff.
  • Support performance evaluations and provide coaching for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the delivery of prompt, courteous, and efficient service, addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Assist in planning and executing poolside events, activities, and promotions for an enhanced guest experience.
  • Support adherence to company, state/local, and Health District policies.
  • Assist in implementing safety protocols, emergency response procedures, and health standards.
  • Support the management of the budget, monitoring expenses and contributing to cost control measures.
  • Assist in optimizing revenue through effective management of cabana rental rates aligned with the overall strategy.
  • Work with other departments to ensure exemplary guest service and operational efficiency.
  • Assist in developing and implementing training programs to enhance team member skills and engagement.
  • Contribute to advocating for preventative maintenance and security functions for asset protection and safety.
  • Support the execution of the functional strategy for pool operations and food & beverage services.
  • Assist in implementing policies, operating procedures, and training programs for pool operations.
  • Contribute to Continuous Improvement initiatives for increased efficiency, growth, and enhanced guest satisfaction.
  • Participate in gathering and utilizing guest feedback for ongoing improvements in the poolside experience.
  • Assist in communicating company policies and objectives clearly, contributing to a positive work environment.
  • Support regular inspections to maintain cleanliness standards and promptly address potential hazards.
