The aquatics team plays an essential role in creating this experience fostering a welcoming, safe, and fun environment for members of all ages. Position Overview: The Assistant Pool Director supports the Pool Director with daily pool operations, staff oversight, scheduling, member service, swim programming, and maintaining a safe, welcoming pool environment. This role helps ensure smooth operations throughout the season and serves as a leadership presence on the pool deck.
Requirements
- Prior experience in aquatics, recreation, or hospitality preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and organization skills
- CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard certifications (or willingness to obtain)
Responsibilities
- Assist with supervising lifeguards, swim instructors, and seasonal pool staff
- Support scheduling, timekeeping, and daily communication
- Oversee pool opening/closing procedures and cleanliness standards
- Provide exceptional member service and address day-to-day needs
- Assist with enforcing safety rules and responding to incidents
- Support pool events, programming, and family activities
