About The Position
The Assistant Pastor will be responsible for shepherding, teaching, and directing children and students, from birth through high school and young adults with the good news of Jesus Christ. Alongside this, he will work with the staff in the regular pastoral duties of the church. He is a self-starter, who has a vision and knows how to share that vision with other leaders and get them excited and eager to carry it out. He shows genuine love for the next generation and a passion to see them grow and be transformed by the gospel. The Assistant Pastor will also shepherd and teach the parents of the congregation in areas of parenting and discipleship of their children. Along with this, he will oversee the Assimilation ministry of the church that welcomes into new people and gets them connected to the life of the church. It is also vital to cultivate and nurture the spiritual care of one's own character, life, and family (cf. 1 Tim. 3:1-7).
