About The Position

The Assistant Parts Manager at Cliffside Body Corp. is responsible for providing exceptional customer service in the parts counter sales environment, specifically for light-heavy duty truck equipment parts. This role involves assisting customers, managing inventory, and collaborating with various departments to ensure efficient parts availability. The position requires a motivated individual with a strong background in parts sales and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized showroom.

Requirements

• Minimum one (1) year of experience in a wholesale/retail parts atmosphere.
• Knowledgeable with point of sale computer management systems (Vision RMS is a plus).
• Familiarity with productivity software, such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Desire to provide excellent customer service.
• Ability to work Monday-Friday (7:30-4:00).
• Ability to commute to Fairview, NJ (in person).
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus but not required.
• Ability to maintain a clean and organized showroom.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting required parts in a friendly and professional manner, including walk-in customers, phone calls, and email inquiries.
• Provide quotes and additional information to customers.
• Stock and reconcile parts as they arrive.
• Pull and fill orders from stock efficiently.
• Assist mechanics in locating the correct parts for specific jobs.
• Collaborate with sales and service departments to ensure efficient parts availability.
• Manage inventory and participate in purchasing activities.
• Represent the company at trade shows to promote products.
