About The Position

This is maintenance and personal services work in a remote recreational environment. Typical duties include cleaning campsites, collecting fees, repairing facilities as needed, monitoring public use, responding to incidents, and maintaining equipment and records. The person in this position will be trained and certified in Wilderness First Aid, chainsaw operation, and boat operation as a requirement of this position. The person in this position must be able to live and work independently in remote conditions and must be able to operate a range of equipment, including vehicles, safely and efficiently, motorboats, radio systems, canoes with and without motors, chainsaws, and other power and hand tools.

Requirements

  • Ability to follow directions.
  • Valid Class C Maine motor vehicle operator’s license.
  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older
  • Applicants must be U.S. Citizens or have legal authority to work in the U.S.
  • Applicants must be able to meet the required training and certification requirements within a timeframe determined by the supervisor based on training opportunities.
