Responsibilities

  • Assist the Park Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of Deer Creek State Park.
  • Lead, mentor, and support park staff, fostering professional growth and enhancing team performance.
  • Provide guidance to staff, assisting with the resolution of complex issues that may influence park policies and division strategies.
  • Plan, assign, and directly supervise a dedicated team, fostering their development, recognizing their contributions, and solving problems at various levels.
  • Assist the Park Manager in tracking the park's operations budget, including resource allocation, financial planning, and monitoring expenditures to ensure fiscal responsibility.
  • Execute HR tasks such as hiring, disciplinary actions, staff development, and recognition.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce park policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and compliance within the park.
  • Address and resolve complex issues or emergencies, ensuring effective response and recovery while minimizing impact on park operations and visitor experiences.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with external organizations, businesses, and government agencies to support park programs and initiatives.
  • Monitor and evaluate park performance, using metrics and feedback to drive continuous improvement and ensure the park's success.
