About The Position

Cosentino's Price Chopper #104 is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Overnight Grocery Manager to oversee and optimize our overnight grocery operations. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient stocking, merchandising, and overall store readiness for the next day. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in retail operations, with a focus on maintaining a clean and organized environment. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a positive attitude and the ability to multitask effectively while providing exceptional customer service. Must be willing to work shifts form 10pm - 7am, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

General knowledge of retail operations and warehousing procedures.
Working knowledge of merchandising principles and product knowledge.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Excellent interpersonal communication and leadership skills.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience with loading and unloading merchandise.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Oversee all overnight grocery operations, including stocking, merchandising, and sanitation.
Lead and motivate a team of overnight employees, fostering a positive and productive work environment in partnership with the Overnight Grocery Manager.
Ensure accurate and efficient stocking of merchandise, utilizing product knowledge to optimize shelf presentation.
Manage inventory levels, minimizing waste and ensuring product availability for customers.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all sanitation standards.
Utilize pallet jacks and other equipment for loading and unloading deliveries and moving merchandise.
Effectively communicate with the day shift management team regarding overnight activities and any issues.
Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Demonstrate strong leadership skills, guiding and training team members.
Monitor sales trends and adjust stocking strategies accordingly.
