About The Position

The University of Maryland School of Medicine seeks candidates to join the full-time faculty of the Division of Surgical Oncology at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor. Candidates should be board-certified. Responsibilities will include growth of Surgical Oncology programs and clinical practice at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, Washington Medical Center (UMBWMC), providing care to complex Surgical Oncology patients at the UMBWMC Campus, contributing to the comprehensive growth of surgical oncology throughout the Medical System, and educating medical students, surgery residents, and fellows. Candidates should have a clear plan for clinical practice building, academic development, and scholarly activity that is consistent with the mission of the University of Maryland School of Medicine. The UMBWMC campus is in Glen Burnie, Maryland, less than a 20-minute drive from downtown Baltimore. The current surgical oncology practice at UMBWMC is broad and comprehensive, supported by the Tate Cancer Center and part of the University of Maryland Medical System. The School of Medicine is located in downtown Baltimore, Maryland, near the famous Inner Harbor and Camden Yards.
