About The Position

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Assistant or Associate Professor of Neurodegenerative Clinical Research and Clinical Trials, Brain Health, Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine. The Department of Brain Health in the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV is accepting applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor (tenure-track) faculty member focused on neurodegenerative disease. The ideal candidate will perform leading edge research with clinical Alzheimer's disease populations. This position will work in collaboration with faculty in the Kerkorian School of Medicine, faculty in the Department of Brain Health, and with the Global Alzheimer's Platform (GAP) supersite in Las Vegas. Additional opportunities for collaboration in the Department of Brain Health include state of the art Biobanking and Biomarker Discovery capabilities as well as health disparities research to foster collaborative opportunities for the successful applicant. The position includes the opportunity in mentoring, advising and supervising graduate students in the UNLV Interdisciplinary Neuroscience Ph.D. program. Additionally, the successful candidate will be expected to meet University criteria related to research, teaching, and service, and will be expected to adhere to UNLV Top Tier Initiatives regarding research productivity, which includes securing extramural grant support and publication in high impact peer reviewed journals.

Requirements

  • MD or Ph.D. in Neuroscience or closely related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Credentials must be obtained prior to the start of employment.
