The goal of this cooperative effort is to safely and efficiently meet or exceed all manufacturing and quality standards. The primary responsibilities of the Assistant Operator will be the set-up and operation of the winder, various slits, and perforations. In addition, the Assistant supports the Operator when webbing the machine, during start-up, and any other tasks to allow the Operator to fulfill the duties necessary to produce the highest quality finished product. The Assistant Operator is expected to learn how to operate the COEX production line for periods up to half a shift. The Assistant Operator will be expected to work where needed based on the company business needs.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate the COEX production line for various products.
- Safely and efficiently produce products on assigned production area.
- Always wear Personal Protective Equipment as required.
- Read a tape measure to 1/32".
- Assist maintenance as required and perform minor maintenance repairs and PMs.
- Must be able to communicate (read and write) in English.
- Keep work areas clean following 5S guidelines.
- Keep all tools and equipment in proper places.
- Assist on or operate other converting or manufacturing equipment and perform preventative maintenance within the plant as assigned.
- Escalate safety, quality, performance issues as appropriate
- Other duties as assigned.
