We're looking for a dependable and mechanically inclined Assistant Operator to support our production team during night shifts. Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience required.
  • Prior manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and document quality data.
  • Forklift and industrial vehicle operation experience.
  • Safety-conscious mindset and ability to follow standardized work instructions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Operator in setting up and running production lines to meet quality and efficiency standards.
  • Catch planks as they come off the conveyor and stack them appropriately.
  • Grind plank scrap at the line to support material recovery.
  • Help assist the Operator during die changes.
  • Operate forklifts and other powered industrial vehicles to stage materials and supplies.
  • Perform quality checks including length/width, vacuum tests, and micrometer readings.
  • Help minimize scrap and maximize material recovery.
  • Support minor maintenance tasks and housekeeping duties.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and PPE requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members across shifts for smooth transitions.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and support the Maintenance Team when needed.
