About The Position

The position involves retrieving and staging raw materials for production, identifying items, understanding HMIS labels, and accurately documenting transactions. Responsibilities include loading and unloading tankers and rail cars of bulk raw materials and finished goods per DOT, OSHA, and EPA standards, filling IBC's and drums per customer requests and DOT regulations, and handling bagged materials, drums, and totes while maintaining inventory. The role also requires taking in-process samples of materials for testing during manufacturing, ensuring accurate record keeping, and completing all necessary paperwork and SAP transactions in a timely manner. Additionally, the position involves maintaining a clean work area, assisting operators in production, and working safely in a hazardous materials environment.

Requirements

  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Solid reading and comprehension skills.
  • Proficient math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
  • Ability to perform frequent and repetitive lifting of materials weighing up to 55 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, reach, lift hoses, manipulate valves, and perform operation/adjustment of equipment.
  • Ability to work from heights up to 20-50 feet.
  • Ability to use and function with PPE, including respirators and safety glasses.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment including forklifts and hoists.
  • Mechanical aptitude with familiarity and use of general mechanic's tools.
  • Ability to manage complex tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and take ownership of responsibilities.

Responsibilities
