Swim School Assistant Operations Manager

About The Position

Smart fish swim in schools® We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Assistant Operations Manager to support daily operations, assist with deck supervision, and help keep our team and schedule on track. This is a support role — you’ll work directly with the Operations Manager to handle the day-to-day responsibilities that keep the business running efficiently.

Requirements

1–2+ years of experience in a leadership, assistant, or operations support role
Highly organized and dependable — you don’t let things fall through the cracks
Comfortable handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and team support mindset
Willing to work evenings and weekends as needed

Nice To Haves

Swim lesson or coaching experience
Knowledge of swim strokes and class structure
Experience with scheduling software (Mindbody a plus)
CPR/AED & First Aid
Lifeguard certification
WSI certification (a plus)

Responsibilities

Assist the Operations Manager with daily tasks and follow-through
Help manage staff schedules, call-outs, and shift coverage
Be present on deck: support instructors, help manage classes, and step in when needed
Take ownership of administrative and time-consuming tasks
Help maintain a high standard of customer service
Assist with onboarding and training new staff
Support basic inventory and operational organization
