About The Position

Our Assistant Operations Manager offers a team-oriented individual the opportunity to be responsible for assisting the Plant Operations Manager with operational systems including acquisition of raw materials, product processing, quality assurance, and the shipping of quality-finished products. Successful candidate will be expected to work night shift during the processing season.

Requirements

• A four year college degree is preferred or equivalent experience.
• Should have overall knowledge of plant operations and equipment.
• Previous experience in a supervisory capacity would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Maintain plant equipment in good working order.
• Request materials and labor necessary to maintain plant machinery.
• Assist Engineering and supervisor in all plant changes and additions approved by Plant Management.
• Cooperate with the General Manager to minimize cost whenever possible.
• Assist in supervision of all areas of Lakeside's Plant operations.
• Assist with coordination of all necessary personnel to establish an effective safety training program.
• Cooperate with General Plant Manager and Quality Control personnel to maintain a clean and orderly plant.
• Assist in production of product to Lakeside Foods quality standards in an efficient manner.
• Assist with the preparation of budgets and costs for plant operations.
