Essential functions in the Assistant Branch Manager role are: Supervise Member Service Specialists (MSS). Performs normal MSS duties on a daily basis. Provide on-the-job training for MSS on an as needed basis. Monitor MSS to ensure compliance with financial institution procedures and policies. Assist MSS in locating cash discrepancies; manage unusual window transactions and answer difficult member questions. Perform a variety of customer service transactions, such as account holds, stop-payment orders, and direct deposits. Process all check orders to outside vendors. Perform monthly audit of teller cash drawers. Assist with the balancing and maintenance of the cash dispenser machines. Order and verify weekly cash shipment. Handle the distribution of cash from vault to tellers. Complete end of day balancing of vault cash and settlement sheet. Responsible for all cash drawers and vaults to be secured for end of day departure. Assist with opening and closing procedures for office. Assist Office Manager with evaluations and progressive disciplinary actions of office staff, when necessary. Responsible for monthly scheduling of MSS for adequate coverage, including daily lunch schedules. Perform other office operations related duties as assigned by the Office Manager The role of the Assistant Branch Manager is in Non Exempt Pay Grade 10 (starting rate $28.58ph - max rate $42.87ph). Incumbents are placed within range based on experience.
