About The Position

The Assistant Office Engineer will provide project documentation, reporting, and coordination support for transportation construction projects in Connecticut.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or
  • NICET Level II in Transportation Construction Inspection
  • Minimum 2 - 4 years' experience in construction office engineering or infrastructure documentation with field inspection experience
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Valid driver's license

Nice To Haves

  • CTDOT project experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage construction documentation: RFIs, RFCs, submittals, drawings, contracts, and correspondence
  • Track and distribute technical documents using AASHTOWare (AWP) and COMPASS
  • Prepare daily and weekly reports, meeting minutes, and change order logs
  • Coordinate with engineers, inspectors, contractors, and clients
  • Support pay estimates and schedule updates in accordance with CTDOT procedures
  • Maintain audit-ready project files
