About The Position

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant for CU Innovations. This temporary position, limited to no more than 9 months, involves supporting the Senior Director of Business Development and the Patent Manager. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage various administrative tasks in a dynamic environment. The assistant will be responsible for managing calendars, coordinating communications, and overseeing document preparation, contributing to the mission of innovation and excellence at CU Innovations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
  • Experience as an administrative assistant, office manager, or similar role.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.

  • Experience with Intellectual Property docketing.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Senior Director of Business Development's complex calendar and schedule meetings effectively.
  • Draft correspondence and manage communications for the Senior Director of Business Development.
  • Maintain an organizational system for important legal and business documents.
  • Meet weekly with the Senior Director to discuss outstanding items and prepare for meetings.
  • Book travel and handle expense reimbursements for the Senior Director.
  • Manage the end-to-end process for assignments under the guidance of the Patent Manager.
  • Sort and manage the patent inbox, following up on matters as assigned.
