About The Position

The Assistant Nursing Manager for the Emergency Room at Shelby Baptist Medical Center is responsible for managing the daily operations of the department to ensure high-quality patient care. This role involves overseeing compliance with regulatory standards, promoting efficient healthcare delivery, and managing departmental functions independently under the guidance of the Nurse Manager.

Requirements

• Academic degree in nursing (required).
• 1 year of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a leader or full-time charge nurse/related position (required).
• Must be currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy (required).
• CPR certification (required).

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in nursing (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, JCAHO, and the Nurse Practice Act.
• Promote optimum health care delivery within budgetary guidelines.
• Manage department(s) on a 24-hour basis.
