Full-time 80 hours bi-weekly 40 hours per week; no weekends or Holidays Hours preferred to support into evening shift with option to work 4 days per week Responsible for providing leadership and oversight of daily operations and activities of clinical staff Assists in ensuring high-quality patient care, operational efficiency, and staff engagement Supports strategic initiatives and may provide direct patient care when necessary The ED is a fast paced environment where nursing staff care for patients of all ages with emergency medical complaints. The high volume GSH ED sees about 45,000 patients each year. Our highly trained staff are supported by a Director, Nurse Manager, Assistant Nurse Managers, Clinical Educators, and On-Boarding Specialists. The ED specific orientation is comprehensive to include care for high risk patients, life threatening conditions and illnesses, as well as care of patients with psychiatric disorders, and lower acuity patients. Certifications covered in orientation are BLS, ACLS, and PALS. General Summary Provides supervision of the daily operations and work activities of professional nursing and ancillary services staff on assigned unit. Able to support ongoing operations of department/unit independently as needed. Provides direct patient care as required.
