Woodridge Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking a dedicated Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) to join our compassionate and cohesive team on the Spruce Commons Unit. Spruce Commons is our long-term care unit, the home to patients with a wide variety of diagnoses and complex disease processes. We thrive on building long-term relationships and watching our care make a resident's day! We are a warm and welcoming facility nestled on the beautiful grounds of Central Vermont Medical Center. Our unique location ensures our residents have easy access to emergency care and medical specialists, all while maintaining a cozy, family-like atmosphere. As the Assistant Nurse Manager, you will work closely with the Nurse Manager to provide direction and coordinate nursing care for a specific unit. This is a key leadership role where you will: Support the nursing team to ensure safe, high-quality, and cost-effective patient care. Manage daily operations of the unit, stepping in for the Nurse Manager when they are away, with the support of the Director. Lead by example, demonstrating strong clinical skills and a high level of emotional intelligence. Communicate effectively with staff, residents, and other departments to ensure seamless care and a positive working environment. Utilize resources responsibly and delegate tasks to optimize team performance and resident outcomes.

Requirements

  • A current, unencumbered Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • A BSN or equivalent, or the ability to obtain one within 18 months of hire.
  • At least 3 years of clinical experience in a similar practice area.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including strong interpersonal communication and organizational excellence.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or the ability to obtain within one month of hire).

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is a plus.
