About The Position

UW Medicine Transplant Department has an outstanding opportunity for an Assistant Nurse Manager/RN3 Pre-Liver Transplant. The nurse provides case management for pre liver transplant patients, including inpatient discharge teaching/coordination. The majority of the pre liver transplant patients are followed on an annual basis in the transplant clinic. The RN also must ensure that immune-suppression drug levels are managed daily, plus triage patient symptom phone calls, EPIC Inbasket, eCare messages and multiple prescription refills. This is an exciting opportunity to participate in a multi-disciplinary team, caring for complex patients.

Requirements

BSN and at least two years Acute Care Nursing
Knowledge of Liver Transplant experience

Supervisory and/or Charge Nurse Experience Desired

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Nurse Manager to develop and implement unit policies and procedures
Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing staff, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards
Assist with performance evaluations and recruitment
Monitor patient outcomes and participate in quality improvement initiatives
Coordinate patient care, including admissions, discharges, and transfers
Address patient and family concerns and provide excellent customer service
Serve as a clinical resource for staff
Provide training and direction to new employees
Foster a positive work environment and promote staff development
