The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is a registered professional nurse leader responsible for assisting in the operational leadership of a specified nursing unit. The ANM demonstrates critical thinking skills, creativity, and has the knowledge to manage resources to achieve quality performance, positive employee relations, and compliance with hospital guidelines. The ANM is skilled in coaching, motivating, mentoring, and leading a professional and technical team in the delivery of services for our patient population. They directly monitor the quality of care delivered to patients and demonstrate effective stewardship of resources. The ANM acts as a change agent for the assigned areas of responsibility and is responsible for implementing any changes required in conjunction with their Manager/Director. They actively participate in outstanding customer service, including service to patients, families, physicians, and other contacts, and accept responsibility in maintaining respectful relationships with all stakeholders.
