About The Position

UW Medical Center-Northwest - Main Operating Room has an outstanding opportunity for an Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM)/RN3 as an Orthopedic and Spine service line coordinator. (The ANM/RN3) will support service lines at NW Main Operating room and the Outpatient Surgery Center. This role is critical to support operational excellence OR competency in a complex/diverse/high volume service. The AMN/RN3 is a role developed to work in coordination with leadership in Surgical Services to ensure the work is accomplished safely, efficiently, and according to best practice. The RN3 serves as leadership support for staff, physicians, and other related providers on service-specific issues. This position will work closely with leadership and staff at the outpatient surgery center in addition to the main hospital. Requirements

Current Washington State RN license, or applicable RN Multistate license
Current BLS certification
Operating room circulating experience with a variety of specialties

Responsibilities

Demonstrates knowledge and skills needed to function as a subject matter expert for their assigned service line.
Demonstrates efficiency, flexibility, and appropriate prioritization in ensuring daily availability of service line supplies, instrumentation, and equipment for patient care.
Collaborates with leadership to build reference /library of best practices / processes for onboarding / training team members to be competent at delivering service.
Demonstrates effective communication with surgeons, staff, and resources (internal and external) to support service line.
