About The Position

The ANM position provides comprehensive care to patients, while being a leader on the unit. They build a strong foundation of leadership skills and promote the values of University Hospitals. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team. Maintians employee records. Identifies needs for and provides Staff education/staff development. Participates in Discharge planning, community resource referrals, and education. Committee involvement, participate in quality improvement initiatives. Oversees daily operations of unit/area in a cost-effective manner. Involved in Community outreach activities as pertinent Initiates and maintains positive relationships with patients/customers and co-workers. Takes responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment. Displays commitment to the mission and values of the organization. Additional Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.

Requirements

  • Meets qualification of 1-2 years clinical experience
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills both written and verbal, as well as, exhibiting strong organizational skills and work ethic.
  • Demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients/customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle high pressure situations with professionalism and integrity.
  • Knowledge of current technology and equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed medical therapies
  • PC and computer applications
  • Associate in Science Degree in Nursing (ADN) required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master in Nursing (MN) from accredited program required within 2 years of hire date.
  • Registered Nurse with current license to practice in the state of Ohio.
  • Certification in a specialty clinical area or leadership is required within 2 years of hire date
  • BLS Required and ALS & PALS may be required based on area’s requirements
