About The Position

Responsible for partnering with the Nurse Manager to assure department operations are carried out. Additional responsibilities include management and development of the unit, including, but not limited to, interviewing, hiring, and supervision of staff, assisting with developing and monitoring of budget, policies and procedures, both new employee orientation and ongoing education of staff, and management of quality improvement programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Three (3) years of related experience.
• AHA BLS obtained prior to end of orientation.
• Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Nurse Manager to ensure department operations are carried out.
• Manage and develop the unit.
• Interview, hire, and supervise staff.
• Assist with developing and monitoring the budget.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures.
• Conduct new employee orientation and ongoing education of staff.
• Manage quality improvement programs.
