The Assistant Negotiator, Media Activation supports seasoned negotiator in day-to-day tasks in negotiating, activation and maintaining general market/direct response national video and radio budgets on behalf of our clients. In this role, the Assistant Negotiator, Media Activation interacts with Client Business Partners, Traffic and Finance and acts as an additional contact with outside media representatives. The position requires a strong aptitude for buying and the aptitude to multitask and build relationship internally and externally.

Requirements

  • Computer proficiency; advanced knowledge of Excel a plus
  • Proactive problem-solving ability
  • Highly organized, with the ability to multi-task while demonstrating a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to support multiple negotiators and juggle competing priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of marketing fundamentals
  • Deadline-oriented with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to collaborate well with staff, clients, and vendors at all levels
  • Client-service oriented

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain media partner relationships, negotiate pricing that reflects clients' objectives and efficiencies
  • Manage stewardships of media buys
  • Run research reports to analyzing data and track media results
  • Ensure buying guidelines are met
  • Reconcile discrepancies and monitor monthly deadlines
  • Train, mentor and oversee the Assistant Negotiator
  • Provide POV's on advertising/media trends and publish recaps
  • Assist in managing added value execution, including solicitation from vendors, analysis of value
