Assistant Municipal Project Engineer
About The Position
Works under the supervision of a Project Engineer or Project Manager to assist in the analysis, planning, design, or construction monitoring of civil engineering projects. Continue to work and apply gained knowledge and experience with municipal clients on projects which typically include design of roadways, municipal utilities, pathways, and other infrastructure improvement projects specific to Midwest Michigan and Michigan clients. Assistant Project Engineers with client management for municipal clients in our mid-Michigan markets, while also building their knowledge base of specific clients' needs, specifications, and differing aspects of client management. Train and develop new graduate engineers in design practices and requirements. Up to 3 days per week remote work from home permitted.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering
- 1 year of municipal engineering experience to include: working with local Michigan municipalities; participating with professional organizations in the Midwest Michigan markets (e.g., American Water Works Association); maintaining project budgets by controlling expenditures; and use of AutoCAD Civil 3D
