About The Position
Banning Lewis Prep is looking to hire an Assistant Middle School Track and Field Coach (Throws Coach). Hiring will be based on the best fit for the program and coaching experience. We are looking to hire an experienced coach that can bring in new ideas but also adapt to our established culture. Off season duties would start immediately upon hiring. Banning Lewis Academy is a tuition-free public charter school authorized by District 49, proudly serving the Banning Lewis Ranch community and surrounding neighborhoods in Colorado Springs since 2006. At Banning Lewis Academy, we blend the tradition of character development and values with modern technology and tools to create an engaging learning environment that accelerates student achievement and readiness without losing sight of student well-being and personal development. The Assistant Middle School Track and Field Coach (Throws Coach) is responsible for supporting the team throughout the season.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of high school varsity or college coaching experience
- Ability to be an exemplary role model on an off the field
- Great organization skills
- Ability to lead a large group of athletes
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Basic knowledge of football and implementation of skills, drills
- Availability to commit to all in-season and off-season duties
