About The Position

The Assistant Microbiology Technician supports the Quality Assurance team at our Manawa, WI plant by performing routine testing to ensure product safety and compliance with sanitation and food safety standards. You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Laboratory Science or related field, or 2 years of equivalent experience in Quality Assurance.
• Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
• High attention to detail
• A positive, team-oriented attitude

Responsibilities

• Conduct sampling and microbiological testing related to sanitation, environmental monitoring, and product quality, including water, air, and surface samples.
• Perform laboratory procedures such as plating, reading microbial counts, and verifying lab equipment functionality.
• Manage documentation and data entry, including preparing samples for third-party testing and entering results into tracking systems like EnviroMap.
• Support product quality assurance through ingredient and finished product testing, including fat and vitamin analysis, as well as other assigned lab tasks.
