Assistant Merchandiser Location: Hartford, WI Job Type: Full-Time, Seasonal, Hourly, Non-Exempt I. Position Summary The Assistant Merchandiser plays a key role in the presentation, organization, and daily operation of the Erin Hills Golf Shop. With a strong focus on visual merchandising, this position takes ownership of the look, feel, and flow of the shop in partnership with the Buyer and Retail Manager. In addition to in-store presentation, this role serves as the primary point person for the Erin Hills Online Store, managing product uploads, inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and ongoing improvements to drive online sales. This position requires an active sales presence on the shop floor, strong organizational skills in the stockroom, and daily management of the online store. This role is ideal for a creative, detail-oriented, and motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment. II. Classification Full-Time Seasonal, Hourly, Non-Exempt III. Duties & Responsibilities Online Store Photograph and upload products daily, including descriptions, inventory counts, and sizing. Remove discontinued or sold-out items promptly. Monitor online inventory and maintain accuracy across categories and sizes. Fulfill all online orders in a timely manner, including processing through Jonas, packaging, and shipping. Work with the Retail Manager to develop and implement strategies that drive online sales. Sales & Customer Service Maintain an active sales presence on the shop floor using strong product knowledge and a welcoming, professional approach. Deliver exceptional guest service by offering personalized recommendations and product expertise. Accurately process all transactions through the Jonas POS system. Promote daily sales initiatives and special events. Visual Merchandising & Shop Standards Create visually appealing displays that reflect the Erin Hills brand and elevate the guest shopping experience. Execute weekly merchandising changes to maintain a fresh, inspiring look. Ensure the shop is consistently neat and clean, including folding, sizing, restocking, and ongoing upkeep. Support the distribution and recordkeeping of staff uniforms and maintain the uniform storage area. Stockroom & Inventory Management Restock the shop multiple times per day by pulling merchandise from the basement stockroom. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient stockroom. Receive, tag, track, and store merchandise accurately. Assist with monthly and end-of-season inventory counts. Golf Shop Operations Participate in daily Golf Shop operations, including golfer check-in and opening/closing procedures. Assist with golf operations and lodging support as needed. Support overall shop functionality and contribute to a consistently positive guest experience. Perform other duties as assigned by the Buyer and Retail Manager. IV. Qualifications Strong communication and customer service skills; confident and enthusiastic on the sales floor. Previous retail or sales experience Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable with technology, including point-of-sale systems, Microsoft Office, and basic photography for online store content. Creative eye for visual merchandising and product presentation. Flexible schedule, including evenings, early mornings, weekends, and holidays. Requirements V. Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying.
