About The Position

The Assistant Men’s & Women’s Tennis Coach supports the Head Men’s & Women’s Tennis Coach in all aspects of the college’s tennis program, including coaching, recruiting, player development, and program administration. This position plays a key role in fostering a competitive, educational, and values-driven environment that supports student-athlete success both on and off the court.

Requirements

The successful candidate should possess solid organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills, as well as technical skills and knowledge of the game of tennis.
Applicants must also demonstrate a strong commitment to rules compliance of the NCAA, the Liberty League, and the institution.

Responsibilities

Assist with planning and conducting practices, individual training sessions, and match preparation.
Provide technical instruction, tactical guidance, and performance feedback to student-athletes.
Support match-day coaching, including lineup decisions and match analysis.
Promote physical conditioning, mental toughness, sportsmanship, and team culture.
Assist with organizing team meetings, community engagement, and fundraising activities.
Represent the tennis program in a professional manner at competitions and campus events.
Transport players to select practices and off-campus matches.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Men’s & Women’s Tennis Coach.
