The Assistant Mechanical Engineer will support project teams in creating innovative designs for various projects, including power, healthcare, and industrial facilities. This role involves working under the supervision of a licensed professional engineer, assisting in the mechanical design process from conceptualization to completion, and adapting plans based on budget and client needs.

  • Assist project teams in creating designs for new projects and alterations.
  • Modify and review production drawings for various facilities including power plants and healthcare facilities.
  • Design mechanical components based on project requirements set by project managers.
  • Apply knowledge of mechanical engineering concepts, principles, and codes in project work.
  • Compile project-related data and assist with research as required by project managers.
  • Correct and update drawings provided by senior engineers using CAD software.
  • Assist in client presentations and contract administration for various facility designs.
  • Perform field inspections, measurements, or calculations for clients.
  • Comply with all company policies and standards.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field from an ABET accredited program.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical engineering techniques and principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer skills including AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Prior internship or related consulting experience.
  • Engineers in Training (EIT) Certification preferred.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 strongly preferred.
  • Involvement in campus or community activities.
