The Assistant Meat Manager is an hourly position that supports the Meat Manager in all aspects of department operations, including product handling, merchandising, quality control, customer service, cleanliness, and employee development. General Purpose The Assistant Meat Manager supports the Meat Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the meat department to ensure the highest standards of product quality, freshness, cleanliness, and customer service. This position assists in managing inventory, merchandising, and sales initiatives while maintaining compliance with company policies and food safety standards. The Assistant Meat Manager helps lead and develop team members to achieve departmental goals in profitability, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
