About The Position

As an Assistant Managing Partner, you will play a key role in leading Back of the House (BOH) operations and ensuring a consistently exceptional guest experience. This includes high standards of food quality, safety, cleanliness, hospitality, and community engagement, while maintaining alignment with our Torchy's mission and values. You are a results-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in developing team members to achieve excellence.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of restaurant management experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop diverse teams while maintaining high operational and hospitality standards.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food safety and restaurant operations best practices.
  • Required state alcohol-server and Manager ServSafe certifications.
  • Proficiency in managing budgets, schedules, and inventory.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 40 pounds and to stand or walk for extended periods.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all BOH operations, including food preparation, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
  • Ensure that all menu items meet high standards, with a commitment to scratch-made food and attention to detail.
  • Champion hospitality by ensuring guest needs are consistently met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Support and execute local store marketing initiatives to build community connections and drive guest traffic.
  • Hire, train, and schedule team members to maintain proper staffing levels.
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of growth and accountability.
  • Manage food costs, labor, and overall operational efficiency.
  • Ensure that all recipes are followed precisely, with correct portioning and production tracking.
  • Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead shifts with a focus on food quality, speed, hospitality, and safety.
  • Evaluate Mystery Shop and Damn Good Restaurant Assessment results, implementing action plans for improvement.
  • Work with team members to ensure they are properly trained and consistently developing their skills.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
