About the position

The Assistant Manager at Cafe Rio Mexican Grill is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a high-energy restaurant environment. Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations and ensure high standards of food quality and customer service.
  • Manage and mentor a team of employees, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Assist in training new staff members and developing their skills.
  • Handle customer interactions and resolve any issues that arise during service.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food preparation and service.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
  • Participate in financial management, including budgeting and cost control.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Proof of valid driver's license.
  • Able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs. and stand for 8 plus hours.
  • 2 or more years of management experience, preferably in the restaurant industry managing a team of 15 or more employees.
  • Available to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal communication skills; able to easily interact with diverse employees.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
