About The Position

The Assistant Manager at Sonic Drive-In is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant. This role involves supervising various station duties, training new employees, and maintaining operational standards to create a positive atmosphere for both patrons and staff.

Requirements

• Extensive food and beverage knowledge, with the ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes.
• Great leadership skills.
• Familiarity with restaurant management software.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate a staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform, lead, and supervise station duties including fountain & frozen, dresser, front swamp, back swamp, grill, switchboard, expeditor, food prep, and drive-thru as assigned.
• Assist with new employee orientation and training.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
• Perform, lead, and supervise regular cleaning and sanitation duties including trash disposal, mopping, sweeping, washing dishes and food preparation tools, wiping counters, sanitizing food preparation areas, cleaning equipment, and emptying used grease.
• Ensure the restaurant is fully and appropriately staffed at all times.
• Maintain operational excellence for efficient and effective restaurant operations.
• Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and guidelines.
• Create a restaurant atmosphere that is enjoyable for both patrons and employees.
• Perform various other tasks as needed.
