About the position

We are seeking a friendly and organized Assistant Manager to join our team at Jack's Woodside Grille. In this part-time role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. Your primary responsibility will be to greet guests warmly, manage reservations, and ensure a smooth flow of service within the restaurant. A successful Assistant Manager will possess excellent customer service skills and a passion for providing exceptional guest relations.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression.
• Manage the seating chart and reservations efficiently to optimize table turnover.
• Assist guests with inquiries about the menu, specials, and restaurant policies.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and waiting area.
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
• Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations as needed.
• Address guest concerns promptly and effectively to enhance their dining experience.
• Utilize POS systems.
• Control inventory through efficient ordering.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel environment is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations.
• Excellent phone etiquette and communication abilities.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Familiarity with food service operations is an advantage.
• A friendly demeanor with a passion for helping others is essential.
