About The Position

The Assistant Manager is responsible for managing restaurant operations, either in conjunction with or in the absence of the Restaurant Manager. This role requires discretion in daily management decisions and accountability for ensuring effective execution of the Service Profit Chain (SPC) and Brand Promise. The primary responsibilities include providing excellent internal and external service, building restaurant sales and profit, and ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 1+ years experience as a Shift Leader or 1 year as an Assistant Manager in a customer service environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as an Assistant Manager with some P&L responsibility for external recruits.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must complete Assistant Manager training classes and be ServSafe certified.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write effectively in English.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to perform basic math concepts.
  • Working knowledge of personal computers and related software applications.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Recruits, selects, trains, develops, and evaluates restaurant employees.
  • Monitors staffing levels to ensure sufficient development and talent.
  • Ensures systems for training employees on workstations are fully implemented.
  • Creates a friendly, fun, clean, and safe restaurant environment.
  • Motivates and inspires employees to achieve high performance.
  • Manages daily activities to achieve excellence in restaurant operational performance.
  • Ensures guests receive an exceptional experience by training employees.
  • Maintains visibility and interaction with guests, responding to concerns.
  • Partners with Restaurant Manager to analyze operational and financial performance.
  • Develops and executes action plans to increase restaurant sales and profitability.

Benefits

  • Pay ranges from $21.00 - $23.00 hourly depending on location and experience.
