Position Summary The Assistant Manager supports the General Manager in leading all aspects of daily restaurant operations to deliver an outstanding guest experience, a thriving team culture, and strong financial results. This role requires a hands-on leader who can inspire, coach, and develop team members while ensuring operational excellence, food safety, and brand integrity.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of restaurant or QSR management experience.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate team members.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution and emotional intelligence.
  • Proficiency with POS systems and basic computer applications.
  • Must be 18 years or older, possess a valid driver’s license, and have reliable transportation.
  • Serve Safe Certification (or willingness to obtain).

  • Oversee all daily in-store operations, including training, inventory management, equipment maintenance, and cash handling.
  • Ensure compliance with Jersey Mike’s operational standards, food safety regulations, and cleanliness requirements.
  • Implement systems and procedures with integrity, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Foster a welcoming, energetic, and service-focused environment.
  • Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally.
  • Lead by example in delivering friendly, engaging, and personalized service.
  • Manage food and operating costs to achieve profitability goals.
  • Monitor daily sales, track key performance metrics, and implement strategies to drive revenue and control expenses.
  • Represent Jersey Mike’s in local marketing efforts and community events.
  • Build strong connections with guests, local organizations, and the surrounding neighborhood.
