About The Position

The Assistant Manager supports the Studio Manager with the day-to-day operations of Massage Studio and serves as the acting Manager when the Manager is not present. This role focuses on execution, leadership, and consistency — ensuring studio policies, procedures, and service standards are followed while supporting the Guest Coordinator (GC) team and Massage Therapists (MTs). The Assistant Manager works closely with the Manager to maintain smooth operations, a positive team culture, and an exceptional guest experience.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant management, customer service, or sales experience (spa or wellness experience preferred)
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable leading teams and addressing issues independently
  • Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Flexible availability including nights and weekends
  • Ability to commute/relocate: Saint Petersburg, FL 33701: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Manager with daily studio operations and decision-making
  • Act as Manager when the Manager is off-site
  • Ensure studio policies, procedures, and brand standards are followed
  • Help maintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented culture
  • Assist with MT and GC scheduling, time-off requests, and callouts
  • Support guest recovery, reviews, and service quality
  • Assist with inventory, ordering, deposits, and weekly reporting
  • Attend leadership meetings and support studio initiatives
  • Lead, coach, and mentor the Guest Coordinator team
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training of GCs
  • Support front desk sales performance (memberships, rebooking, gift cards, retail)
  • Conduct GC performance check-ins and evaluations
  • Work regular GC shifts and assist with coverage as needed
  • Assist the Manager with MT interviews, onboarding, training, and Final Practicals
  • Sit in on MT interviews alongside the Manager (two leaders are always present)
  • Participate in hands-on training and quality evaluations (Must be comfortable receiving massages for interviews, training, and ongoing quality reviews)
