The Assistant Manager supports the Senior Leadership team and reports directly to the Director of Operations/Purchasing & Inventory Manager. The main duties of the Assistant Manager are to support the Senior Leadership team & ensure the Sales Floor as well as Inventory are well-supported.

Requirements

  • Ability to mediate conflicts among team members and handle customer complaints diplomatically.
  • In-depth knowledge of store products and services to assist team members and customers accurately.
  • Effective delegation skills to assign tasks based on team members’ strengths.
  • Keen attention to detail to maintain high standards in store operations, including merchandising and cleanliness.
  • Understanding of systems such as Dutchie, METRC, Apex, Outlaw Technology, and Headset.
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Must pass all state-required background checks.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong understanding of state/local regulatory guidance and policy (Ability to interface w/ CCC if necessary).
  • Proficient in adopting new software and ever-evolving technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of standard office applications and word-processing software. (proficient with Microsoft Office).

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 yr. previous retail supervisor experience preferred.
  • Cannabis industry experience preferred.
  • College Degree preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the daily management & operations of the dispensary.
  • Disciplinary/Coaching conversations – Facilitate career coaching & disciplinary conversations to ensure company standard operating procedures/policies are adhered to.
  • Financial Reconciliation & Deposit/cash handling procedures – Oversee retail cash handling procedures and support retail financial reconciliation as needed following completion of daily deposits.
  • Inventory Reconciliation – Oversee inventory daily audits, standard operating procedures and facilitate inventory variance reconciliation.
  • Facilitate Stand-Up meetings – Facilitate morning, mid-shift, & closing stand-up meetings to ensure the team is well prepared for day-to-day operations.
  • Hiring/Recruiting – Support the Senior Leadership team with hiring/recruiting strategies, interviews, and ATS support.
  • Schedule – Configure the store schedule in accordance with time-off requests within the HR platform, senior leadership team members OOO & ultimately the 6 Brick’s Time-Off Request Policy.
  • Report all incidents directly to Senior Leadership & in alignment with 6 Brick’s Internal/Incident report form standard operating procedures.
  • Facilitate team 1:1’s conversations on a monthly/bimonthly cadence to ensure a consistent performance & knowledge base of company standard operating procedures.
  • Send weekly communications for the department or departments you are overseeing to ensure streamlined and standardized approaches.
  • Support Security Audits – Support the Director of Operations with monthly security audits as well as the yearly security audit.
  • Orientation/Onboarding – Facilitate new-hire orientation. Providing a holistic/comprehensive understanding of all company standard operating procedures & policies.
  • New Hire training / team training – Coordinate & support new-hire training to completion ensuring team members have a full understanding of company standard operating procedures and strong understanding of cannabis compliance as well as cannabinoid/terpenes.
  • Support the senior leadership team, ensuring standard operating procedures are up to date and compliant with local, state, & ccc compliance guidelines.
  • Configure/facilitate all deal creations within Dutchie Backoffice in accordance with deals outlined by the senior leadership team.
  • Support receiving deliveries in-store and within Dutchie Backoffice/METRC.
  • Support opening/closing the facility.
  • Support the sales floor & customer transactions as needed.
