Requirements

  • 2+ years of property management experience required
  • Strong computer skills (Excel and Microsoft Word)
  • Good math and financial tracking skills
  • Knowledge of common apartment maintenance issues
  • Professional, friendly, and confident communication style
  • Pleasant, cheerful, firm, and assertive when needed

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Yardi property management software preferred
  • Spanish speaking preferred

  • Can confidently manage rent collections and follow-ups
  • Works well independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Property Operations Collect rent by the 5th of each month and ensure timely deposits
  • Enter rents, changes, and updates into on-site property management software
  • Follow up on delinquent accounts and assist with collections
  • Maintain and follow a company-approved operating budget
  • Leasing & Resident Relations Answer calls and inquiries from prospective residents
  • Show available apartments and assist with leasing
  • Process rental applications and prepare lease agreements
  • Conduct move-in and move-out inspections
  • Respond to resident questions and service requests
  • Maintenance Coordination Receive and track work orders
  • Schedule maintenance staff and vendors
  • Follow up with residents to ensure work orders are completed satisfactorily
  • Vendor & Property Coordination Schedule landscapers and other vendors servicing the property
  • Help ensure property standards are maintained
  • Reporting & Administrative Duties Assist in preparing weekly reports for ownership, including: Current rent roll Prospective resident traffic Delinquency updates
  • Work with the NXT Property Management supervisor to help prepare the annual property budget
  • Attend company training and meetings as required
