This role is for an Assistant Manager to oversee the rental operations at the Appleton East local market location. In this position, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day car and truck rental activities, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering a best-in-class customer experience. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking initiative, solving problems proactively, meeting established sales goals, and ensuring customers receive outstanding service. Requirements

  • Strong verbal communication skills for interacting with customers and management.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and customer-focused environment.
  • Physical ability to assist customers at the counter, including standing for extended periods.
  • Availability to work daytime hours Monday–Saturday.
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to safely operate a wide range of vehicles (compact cars to moving trucks).

Responsibilities

  • Manage all day-to-day rental operations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for rental customers, ensuring a friendly, efficient, and professional experience.
  • Oversee all aspects of the rental experience, including check-ins, check-outs, cleaning of vehicles, and general fleet organization.
  • Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and rental transactions with accuracy and care.
  • Maintain location standards, including cleanliness, organization, and compliance with company procedures.
  • Promote additional products and services to enhance the customer’s experience.

  • Total earning potential: $45,000–$60,000 annually, including hourly base pay plus uncapped incentive bonuses for upgrades and additional services.
