This role involves operating all equipment, stocking ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work area, and walk-in cooler, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing associated paperwork, and cleaning equipment and facilities approximately daily. Training and orientation are provided on the job. Communication skills required include the ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions, and to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person. Essential functions include the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use a calculator), make correct monetary change, possess verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders, demonstrate motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers for rapid and accurate precise movements, and enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen. The work environment involves exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing other outside tasks, in-store temperatures ranging from 36 degrees in the cooler to 90 degrees and above in some work areas, sudden changes in temperature, fumes from food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped quarters including a walk-in cooler, hot surfaces/tools from the oven up to 500 degrees or higher, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Sensory requirements include talking and hearing on the telephone, near and mid-range vision for most in-store tasks, depth perception, and the ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces. Required temperaments include the ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions. Physical demands include standing for most tasks, walking short distances, occasional sitting for paperwork, lifting up to 50 pounds, carrying various items, pushing/pulling dollies, infrequent climbing of stairs or ladders, stooping/bending, crouching/squatting, continuous reaching, and continuous hand tasks requiring eye-hand coordination, forceful use of forearms/wrists, pinching, and grasping. Team members may utilize pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter, and pizza peel. In addition to the above, for team members in driver or store management positions, additional duties include delivering product by car to the customer's door, and delivering flyers and door hangers. This requires a valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards and access to an insured vehicle for delivery. Essential skills for these roles include navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within a designated delivery area, and the ability to navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product. Additional physical demands for delivery include carrying pizzas, sides, and beverages while performing walking and climbing duties, driving within a designated delivery area (making several deliveries per shift), walking between the store and delivery vehicle and from the delivery vehicle to the customer's location, and climbing five or more flights of stairs during product delivery. Work conditions for delivery include exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions, and sensory requirements include far vision and night vision for driving.
