About The Position

Assistant Manager Skills and Qualifications Strong leadership skills and strong work ethic required. Detail oriented, excellent customer service skills, excellent communicator, reliable, and self-driven. Must thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, overseeing all FOH team members, coordinating and working directly with the General Manager in assisting with the overall hiring process and team member performance reviews; develop, implement, and review operational policies and procedures; develop and implement team member initiatives and challenges. Hours are part time, 20-35 hours per week (working hours vary and could include anytime as follows: occasional Mondays; Tuesday-Thursday 10am-10:30pm; Friday-Saturday 10am-11pm). MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK ANYTIME DURING OUR OPERATING HOURS. We are closed on Sundays. Experience with strong team leadership and management Excellent customer service skills and communication Excellent organizational skills, including multitasking and time management Strong interpersonal and communication skills Meticulous attention to detail Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Availability to work a flexible schedule as required in order to maintain operations and said responsibilities Responsibilities Provide inspired leadership for the organization Ensure exceptional customer service to our guests Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale Develop and implement team member initiatives and challenges Develop and implement team member incentives and rewards Support team member communication with the upper management team Design, inventory, ordering of all retail merchandise and supplies FOH merchandise inventory and sales Handle call-offs and schedule changes Review team member clock-in/clock-out Assist GM in evaluating potential candidates during the hiring process Assist GM with interviews during the hiring process Assist GM to ensure training is scheduled and followed through on all team members hired Maintains review dates and all trainings (TIPS, Wine Tasting 100, etc…) Maintains all team member birthdays Assist GM to update Employee Handbook and policies as needed Assist GM to ensure team member compliance to Employee Handbook Assist GM with any necessary disciplinary actions to correct behavior and document issues Minute recorder/publisher for monthly team meetings Club member rewards/incentives and monthly birthday cards Benefits: A positive, friendly place to work: At Gillig Winery we consider you to be more than just an employee, you're a part of our team!
