As an Assistant Manager at Jimmy John's, you will manage all functions of the restaurant to ensure customer service and high-quality products are delivered, particularly when the General Manager is not on duty. You will be responsible for executing fast, accurate sandwiches and providing world-class customer service while maintaining a clean and organized shift. Interaction with all levels of the organization and the broader Jimmy John's Company is expected.

  • Manage a staff of approximately 3 to 15 employees, assigning, overseeing, and evaluating work.
  • Provide on-the-job training for new employees.
  • Delegate and manage the ordering, receipt, storage, and issuing of all food, labor, equipment, cleaning, and paper supplies.
  • Assist in the supervision of food preparation, sales, and service operations.
  • Forecast food items and estimate consumption per shift.
  • Supervise food preparation and service operations while on duty.
  • Assist in-shoppers during rush periods to maintain restaurant efficiency.
  • Ensure every customer receives world-class customer service.
  • Route deliveries and serve drivers to maximize delivery business and speed.
  • Complete daily food preparation and closing procedures.
  • Execute systems and procedures with 100% integrity and completeness.
  • Complete daily and weekly paperwork.
  • Be responsible for 100% of the cash drawers during the shift.
  • Receive and store product.
  • Audit previous shift's systems and procedures for integrity and completeness.
  • Complete preventive maintenance and upkeep on store's equipment and supplies.
  • Maintain a professional appearance in compliance with the Jimmy John's Dress Code.
  • Display a positive and enthusiastic approach to all assignments.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
  • Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as business dictates.
  • Must be able to bend, stand, and walk the entire workday.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be at least 19 years of age.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance.
  • Must maintain a clean driving record with no more than 2 minor violations in the past 3 years.
  • Must have stamina to work a minimum of 50-60 hours a week.
  • Experience with a retail food company is a plus.
  • $15 to $18.00/hr.
