As the Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will manage restaurant operations in conjunction with, or in the absence of, the Restaurant Manager. You will recruit, select, train, and develop restaurant employees and promote a fun and friendly environment. You will manage daily activities to ensure guests receive excellent customer service and use management information tools to analyze restaurant operational and financial performance.

  • Serve as a strong role model for other employees.

  • Adjust to multiple demands and shifting priorities.
  • Monitor staffing levels to ensure sufficient development and talent.
  • Ensure systems for training employees on workstations are fully implemented and adhered to by management and crew.
  • Identify and develop internal candidates for management and Team Leader positions.
  • Understand and utilize JIB systems, processes, and tools; comply with all state and federal labor laws and regulations.
  • Maintain the brand image of restaurant cleanliness, maintenance, and excellent service.
  • Serve as a role model for excellent guest service.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
  • Demonstrates high ethical standards; treats employees and guests with respect.
  • Actively listens and communicates timely, clearly, and accurately with management team and crew.
  • Remains calm when challenged or placed under pressure.
  • Calms others who are confronted with a difficult situation or task.
  • Effectively manages conflict.
  • Demonstrates a strong awareness and concern for food quality and safety, and restaurant cleanliness.
  • Ability to lift and carry 10-50 lbs.; ability to stand and walk approximately 85%-95% of shift.
  • Ability to move freely throughout the restaurant.
  • Ability to operate restaurant equipment.
  • Ability to drive a motor vehicle and provide valid driver's license and vehicle insurance.
