About The Position

The Assistant Manager at Champs Sports is responsible for leading a team to enhance the in-store customer experience. This role involves overseeing store operations, training staff, managing employee performance, and ensuring visual merchandising standards are met. The Assistant Manager will also take on managerial duties in the absence of the Store Manager, with a focus on driving sales and maximizing profits.

Requirements

• Demonstrated leadership ability with at least 1 year of experience in a customer-facing sales setting.
• Confident and comfortable engaging customers to deliver an elevated experience.
• Motivated to achieve great results through enthusiasm from customer interactions and athletic products.
• Resourceful and versatile in responding to changing demands in a rapidly changing retail environment.
• Initiates tasks or activities without supervision.
• Strong cognitive and mathematical skills, including problem analysis and financial analysis.
• High level of ethics, values, integrity, and trust.
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Coaching and motivating the team to drive sales and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction by being knowledgeable about all products and collaborating with co-workers.
• Delivering on sales, customer experience, merchandising, visual, and operational expectations.
• Acting as a liaison between customers, sales associates, and store leadership.
• Learning and sharing expertise on products and trends to meet customer needs.
• Maintaining awareness of product knowledge and current or upcoming trends.
• Contributing to a positive and inclusive work environment.
